I shipped a BOB package to a military member overseas.  I put DC on the package because I was curious about tracking it.  (I have swapped with this member before and am not concerned with her not marking the box received; I was just curious about tracking it since it's going overseas).  For those of you at APO/DPO/FPO addresses or those who have shipped books to military addresses with PBS-DC, I have a question: does the package get scanned when it reaches the base or military post overseas?

My package was scanned at my regional sorting facility, but that's been it so far.  I know it might take a while to get to the recipient, I'm not worried about the time, I'm just curious as to whether the DC gets scanned when the package is delivered overseas, outside of the US.

My experience is that they get scanned when I take them to the counter, then get scanned at the point they leave the coast, then on delivery. There can be some misc additional scans from sorting centers along the way, but those 3 are always there. (Unless my clerk forgets the scan it like he did this week :( )
