or has the wl gotten slower? I use to never be able to hold onto credits, now I am sitting at around 50 just hoping I can catch some of the 'is this on your wl' books to get rid of some.

My TBR pile is so huge I've got most of my WL on hold til I read and repost some of the ones I already have.  I just took a look and I have at least 10 books that I'm currently in the top 3 spots for when I take them off hold.  Of course if I was anxiously waiting for those books to be offered to me I'd probably feel like it was taking forever!  LOL

my tbr is about 1300-1400 :-/  I think I just missing the thrill if getting books in the mail lol I'm even going through and purging my tbr but I still want more...it's a sickness

I've never seen my wl books in this genre come up fast. soemtimes I feel like posting and asking 'is it worth putting such and such series on my WL or am I just dreaming?'!

sigh..there IS a certain thrill with wl stuff coming up and books arriving in the mail...

i know it seems like my WL is moving slowly these days, and my mailbox seems empty.  according to my transaction archive, i've received 8 books in the last 30 days, which is definitely low.  (though there are probably a few more waiting at home that i'll see in a few days.) 

for sure there's more books i'd like to add to my WL, but don't have room for.

If I stare at my WL and the estimates long enough, do the books start coming?   Nope.  They just fall down the list to not have estimates any longer.  Time to sort by title.

ETA  In the week after posting this, I 've been offered 5 WL books, 4 which okayed my RC.   So I'm now quite content to wait.   (And not a single one of those was at the top of the estimates list.)

I actually had a lucky WL week and have 8 books either in route or to be mailed in the next few days. About to post some too, just waiting for the paycheck :P

in the past 30 days I have gotten 12 books, April of 09 I got 23 books, April of 08- 18 books, April 07 -18 books, April 06- 20 books

so I guess my month this year was a little slow

It has definitely been slow.  Even books where the estimate for arrival is 1 week on my WL seem to take several weeks to actually get posted to me.  I now have a lot of my WL on hold because I'm hoping to get through SOME of the books I already have, but I don't feel like I'm getting much on my WL.  Sigh.

That's why I don't post to those threads...seem to defeat the purpose of a FIFO system.  I can see using the thread if you had a ton of books to get rid of or if you post to a buddy here on PBS....otherwise not a fan. 

I post there every now and then, because I do get books from there every now and then....but not always....and then I feel bad lol

but yea, I didn't even think it but thats probably why they are so slow now
