Fun historical adventure set in the Ottoman Empire in the 1700's. Well written and ranges from Egypt to Ethiopia.
The second part is the Siege of Isfahan.

A densely packed historical novel of 17thC France, Egypt and beyond. Adventurous and romantic, the Frnech flavor is not lost in the translation.
