I just got a book order for a wish list book.  The person has requestor conditions that says she has severe allergies and can't accept books that have been around cats.  I don't have cats, but this book has definitely been read by a lot of people, and there's no way of knowing if it's been around cats.  Should I accept and then pm her and tell her that and let her make the decision whether to cancel, or should I just cancel now?

I would just turn them down. If it is a WL book they remain at the top of the list and will be offered the next copy while yours will get offered to the next person.

Yeah, I would turn it down too. I usually try to accept RCs, but with a book like that, probably not.

I would turn it down, since you don't know the history of the book.

Absolutely turn it down. If I see "allergies" I'm probably turning it down unless it's a pet dander allergy and it's a book I bought brand new. I live in a pet-free apartment building so there's no way the book would be exposed. But if I see "SEVERE allergies" I'm going to turn it down regardless of what the allergy is, period.
