There is a book I am trying to get a nice condition copy (no spine creasing or cover wear) of because I collected the entire series and lost one of the books, but since it's now out of print I can't buy a brand new copy. I can't turn my RC off because I need the non smoking RC for my other books so is it ok to add something to the RC that says: If this order is for (book title) I need it to be (condition). I don't mind getting orders for this particular book cancelled if they can't fufill the RC but don't want to get other books I don't care about the condition for cancelled.

I think that will work fine Rebecca.  If I have the time to watch my account I will take those books with specific needs off of AR and judt adjust my RC when I get an offer. If I don't have the time I just add it to my general RC like you have there.

It's not a WL book but there aren't a huge number of copies in the system - there are 8 currently. I'd be ok with all of them being rejected. I'm also continuing to try and find a good condition used copy of this book I can purchase but there don't seem to be a ton of those out there either. :(

I was doing the same thing as you trying to replace one book for collection.  I put an RC naming that book & was very specific and also explained that it was for collectable reasons.  I received a mixture of responses.  One very nicely stated her copy was probably showing more wear than I wanted.   Another was my copy is good but I don't like RC so I'm not sending  it.  Somebody else turned down another request stating didn't meet RC but it wasn't even for that book.  The good news is I did end up with a beautiful copy and was very pleased to receive it.  So it was worth the rejections and the goofy ones as well.  Good Luck and I'll bet you'll get one with a little patience.
