Quite entertaining, and informative, for someone who knows nothing about Buddhism. Back cover claims the author "cuts through the religious jargon",which is true, of course, but he invents his own jargon along the way.

Interesting, amusing, sincere. Irish-American Catholic Dinty W. Moore sets out to write an article about Buddhism. To that end he meets and interviews Tibetan Buddhists, Zen Buddhists, Jewish Buddhists, Theravadan Buddhists, even a catholic monk Buddhist! He sees the humanity of the teachers and the value of their teachings, and his conversion to Buddhism is as calm and quiet as Buddhism itself. He draws parallels between his Catholic upbringing and Buddhism that I think will clarify much about both religions to his readers. Highly recommended.

I love this book. I have read it several times now. Moore is a great writer. I found it inspiring but not at all preachy.
