Gillaine Davré is hiding the fact that she's a Raheiran from her love interest Admiral Rynan Makarian, a Khalaran. The Raheiran's are a more technologically advanced race with psychic abilities try not to interfere much with the development of other races. About 342 years ago Gilliane fought against her ancient enemies the Melandans, and was thrown into a time-warp which made her appear in the present where she learns the Khalarans have turned her into a goddess. She is horrified to learn that she is worshipped and that even Ryan is a follower. Things get even more complicated from there. There were a few amusing moments throughout the book which kept it pretty light, and a lot of other characters in the space station where the book takes place, which kept things interesting. I'm beginning to see these books as a guaranteed good time. Totally fun to get into.

This book is marvelous. I've read it many times along with her other books. True Space opera with a great romance plot as well. This is truly SF Romance at its best.

Tricked again with a different cover. I like this 4rd book of Sinclair's that seems to continue her story from Finder's Keepers and Gabriels Ghost. It's about life in space, time travel and for once the title of the book is important, accidently becomeing a Goddess. A fun read.
I was a little put off by the thought of this being a "scfi romance", but decided I would give it a shot anyway. I am glad I did, because it certainly held my interest. Great characters, good story line, and the romance was there, but not in the "in your face" way of some romance books. This book would be a great "transition" book for someone who has read mainly romance, but is interested in trying out Science Fiction.

Sci-Fi/ Futuristic romance by Linnea Sinclair. Special Forces Officer Gillian Devre finds herself thrust over three hundred years into the future, during a space battle with the enemy. What she finds is that in that time, she has been made a Goddess. The Space Station Admiral, Mack, is both suspicious and entranced by Gillie. While the author combines science fiction and magic in an interesting way, the book is a little long, and complicated. Overall, a good story. Both Mack and Gillian are likeable. If you like science fiction romance, worth a credit.

This book was a lot of fun and had me smiling and cheering at the end. This is a Science Fiction Romance, though it could be considered a little more fantasy depending on how you look at it. Some of 'aliens', who seem to be a human variation of the far future, are called sorcerers though what happens seems, to me, less magic and more psychic abilities combined with crystals--ala Darkover.
The romance is satsisfying and interesting. The plot is convuluted enough to keep up the tension. The secondary character of Simon is cool and fun. I love how Linnea used an innocuous thing from the beginning as a twist later.
I've read four of Linnea's books and this is my favorite so far, with Finders Keepers a close second. For me, this is a keeper.

The author writes a great science fiction tale that is not only action packed, but also introduces us to some great characters, Mac and Gillaine. One of my favorite books by this author.

This book is sold as a romance novel and it does contain a very good romance, but it is a lot more. It has a science fiction story with elements of fantasy that is well thought out and relentlessly interesting.

While, as a gifted Raheiran she has some interesting powers such as telepathy, healing, and a bit of magic, she is definitely not devine. However, in the time she has been gone the Khalar, the race she was trying to help, have taken to worshiping her as a goddess. And if that isnt trouble enough, one of her devoted followers happens to be a very dishy admiral.
I was bothered by some inconsistencies, like why are there parrots on the space station, but the author compares the hero to an imaginary animal, and why Gillie plays billiards, but other games that are mentioned are also imaginary? However, that is a minor problem in a very good book that combines romance and adventure very well.

Fantasy Romance in an SF setting. Fun read.
An enjoyable read. Imagine traveling through time to find you've been labeled a goddess. Fun, humorous dialogue. The romance not in your face. Great tech writing.
