I placed my account on hold during Thanksgiving, knowing I will be on extended travel.  My account isn't scheduled to become active for several more months.... if you have stuff on your Wish List , with the auto order checked, are you still supposed to receive them???

I was under the impression that Auto-Order goes on hold when your account does.  I am also on Swapadvd (same situation)... and received a PM from a member regarding a box set that was auto-ordered.  Understandably she was upset that according to her UPS tracker, I should ahve received the dvds a week ago.  I had no idea it was even being sent!

I do have my mail being forwarded to family and so they actually emailed me to day to let me know I got a package (which is why I am checking both pbs and the dvd site now).  I just feel bad for the member that she has had to wait for her credits.

At PaperBackSwap, auto-request wish list items are fulfilled as long as you have the credits needed in your account. The point of auto-request is to allow you to have your bookshelf on hold without having your wish list on hold.

Thanks!  I guess I will have to go and manually place all my stuff on hold.  Too bad there wasn't an option on vacation hold where you can say "include wish list items".

Autorequest books show as on hold I believe unless you are at the top. I know you can't post a book to someone's WL  who has their account on hold even with autorequest if they aren't #1.  I learned that the hard way.  But if you get up to near the top and it's declined for RCS or times out on the people in front of you-it will order the books/DVDS for you.

The whole point of autorequest is so you don't have to be at the computer to receive them.

I wouldn't worry as it sounds like she used SwapADVD DC and would have automatically received her credits when they were scanned.  Since she mentions the tracking, I believe that is what she did.

You can put everything on hold easier now though.  Just go to your Wishlist and on EACH page, select all titles, then click on Auto Request Off... then go to page 2 and do it again.  That will remove your auto requests and you can put them back on when you are done with your travels.

I don't think that's the case...I am on vac. hold with everything on AR....when I look at the public view of my WL I can see everything except the one book I have on individual WL hold, which never shows in the public view, even when my acct is NOT on vac. hold.

Someone look at my WL and tell me what shows. I think people can still SEE what's on your WL but you just can't post directly to them if they're on vac. hold, nor does it say above the public view of my WL that my account is on hold. Edited to add: I do notice, though, that there is no POST THIS BOOK button next to any of my WL books. That must be the difference.
