I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I bought a credit and went to order a book, but it showed I have a -1 credit. I clicked on it and it said duplicate accounts and something about the referrel. My mom got on her account and it wouldn't let her get on her's. It said you can't have duplicate accounts. She said that her credits are gone. The only thing I can think of is were me and my mom each have a account on paperbackswap. I have been a member for 6 years. My mom became a member a year or two after I signed up. When she made her account it said two accounts per household. I don't understand why it's talking about duplicate accounts when it plainly said in the rules 2 accounts per household. The only thing thats the same is our address. We have different emails, she gets christian books, I get romance books. Does anyone know whats going on? |

You might want to contact PBS and ask them what is going on with this. Is there anyone else in your house with an account? Also I don't think you are supposed to get referral credits for a 2nd account in the same household. |

The current terms of use say that 2 accounts per household are allowed. However, no referral credits should be granted to the first household account. From the Terms of Use: Membership Eligibility This Site may be used only by persons 18 years of age or older. National Book Swap makes no representations whatsoever regarding the suitability of any items exchanged through this Site.
One Account per Person, Maximum of Two Accounts per Address or Household So the two of you should be able to have your own accounts (provided you each manage your own account) as long as no one else in the household also has an account. If there are just these two accounts, perhaps it has something to do with the referral/start-up credits.

Christy, as Mary said, you need to contact the Admin. Team and discuss the situation with them. Go to the bottom of the page and find "Contact Us" and once there, you will see an area to send in "Feedback". You will receive a reply by email and not a PM. |

Did you by chance access your mom's account or did she access her account from the same computer as you within a close time frame? If it appears that one person is logging in and doing stuff in 2 accounts, they can get flagged as one person with 2 accounts. You will need to contact The Team about your account and she will need to contact them about her's. |
