I have an on-going deal on my bookshelf, and when I get an order for a book I always send a PM to the orderer asking them if they want to take advantage of the deal.   Well, someone ordered an older Betty Neals book the other day and I sent the usual PM to her.   She got back to me this morning telling me that she would like to take me up on my deal offer, but has read all of the other Betty Neels books on my bookshelf.  Unfortunately, she doesn't have time to look through my bookshelf for other books she would want and ask me to choose for her.

Ack!!! That's the problem.  I got almost all of the books on m bookshelf from FOTL sales and haven't read them.  I'm familiar with some of the authors, but frankly my style preference is different than hers.    She ask me to choose "an author or authors that are the most like her? I don't like any books that have sex scenes. I love Betty's pure style".

I normally read hotter books.  Well, books that have at least one or two sex scenes anyway.   The only author that I'm familiar with that she might like is Curtiss Ann Matlock, and I do have one of her older books on my bookshelf so will probably include that one.

Anyway, I promise this is not a ploy to get people to look at my bookshelf LOL.  I really do need help.    If anyone has time today, can you take a quick look through my bookshelf (Warning there are over 400 books so you might want to sort by the romance genre.  Even then there will be almost 300  books.)  If you see any authors or books that might fit the bill, please post about it.

Oh, and I have to mail the books tomorrow. :-)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Lynne

hmm maybe the lavrylye spencer...curtiss ann matlock is usually pretty tame though not familiar with the one you have listed..luanne rice perhaps? think she's more women's fiction than straight romance...I haven't read any of these except for a series by matlock so not 100% sure but from just glancing through your shelf those would be what I'd think were tamer.

eta: I also saw a love inspired - inspirational romance - guaranteed no sex in those! not familiar with that particular author though.

I think I saw someone post somewhere recently about liking Carla Kelly because she doesn't put any sex in them.  (I think it was on goodreads where someonme was asking for sexless romances).

The one Edith Layton book I read had no sex in it despie the bodice rippery cover it had.  I was quite disappointed.

Personally, I wouldn't choose for her.  I know you are trying to be nice but what if you send her abook you haven't read that had sex in it afterall?  She should take the time to investigate them herself if she's concerned about it that much. Just be honest and say you haven't read all the books on your shelf and that what you read usually has sex in it.

It would be different if you had read  most of them and could say easily if they had sex or not.

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies.   It may be a moot point now because the additional order that she said had done from bookshelf never came through.  I hope she didn't accidently order from someone else!

I think I'm going to throw in the Curtis Ann Matlock book and call it done.
