This is a amazing story. This family has endured and survived so much. They have left their homeland because they could have died, but they carry Tibet in their hearts and souls. Tibet is them and they are Tibet. FREE TIBET!!!!!

This book gave me a good insight into the Buddhist life as a nun, monk, and a civilian in Tibet. It is a very moving story of survival, courage and love between simple people, and a family. The story is very moving and keeps one reading on to the next page. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
