Recently got a job doing activites with Alzhiemer's patients and was looking for books on the subject or any ideas to stimulate conversation. I feel this will be a rewarding and challenging new path and am hoping to make a real contibution to their lives..

There are several books on the subject.  You may be able to find them just searching Alzheimer's and Activities.  I think one time I just went thru everything with Alzheimer's in the title, and put a lot on my wish list.  There is a good, brief, free book called something like the coach's playbook.   Someone here sent me one.  It's also available at the Alz Organization.
