My husband has been reading many of the Dekker books, over a 4 year period.

This was his latest read. He has enjoyed most of the Dekker books but felt this dealt too close to the darkside to be a favorite. Be careful while reading books published by Christian Publishing houses that "cross the line" into mysticism, exorcism and the forces of evil.

Scripture is quoted on the flyleaf -- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...as quoted by John the Apostle John 10:10

Heed the caution from the Word of God!

Looked forward to reading this one but something about it I just didn't like, the format of the story was different along with just too much description and I didn't care for that, there were too many big medical words in it that made it hard to understand some of those parts of it and I don't like that, I skimmed most of the pages and only read the parts I needed to until I got closer to where the story was going more towards the end, then it got more interesting after you get into the heart of the story and exactly what is meant by referring to 'Adam', along the line of The Excorcist.

Very good book. Good vs Evil in a modern day setting. Centers around a serial killer. The end is different-but author gives some clues along the way. Fast read.

Chilling and dark, this thriller is a genuine page-turner; I kept reading "one more chapter" for hours after I'd intended to stop. It's all a bit implausible, but the runaway freight train pacing keeps you suspending disbelief and reading on compulsively.

This was a interesting look at demonic possesion. Mr. Dekker has a very clever way of story-telling. It was an engaging read.
