  Dressed in tiny suits
Bubble bottoms, triangle tops
Her tiny toes with timid touch
Begins the swim with little “plops”

Diapers gone, ruffles on
Surprised splashes, rubbing lashes
A wet playground filled with balls
Noodles, rafts & occasional squalls

“Look Mommy, look at me!”
Cannonball, backstroke, pike or free
Beach, pool, shallow or deep
Entire summers of pruney feet

What happens to kids
When added to water,
Play becomes endless
And bodies like otters.

That was delightful. Loved the unexpected word choices and the meter was spot on.
