I tried doing a search to see if I could find an answer, but the search only came up with "there's a problem with a book I received".

So I am wanting to add a cover photo for A Gift of Hope Helping the Homeless

I uploaded a picture about a week ago and still it hasn't appeared. So I just tried it again and it says awaiting approval, same as last time. Just wondering if I am doing something incorrectly or if I need to contact someone directly. Anyone know?

Sometimes it takes a while for the book cover (or other info) to be approved and loaded into the system.  It all depends on who's doing the work, how much time they have, how much researching they have to do to confirm that the information you're sending is correct.  Almost everything I've ever sent has eventually been uploaded.  Just keep checking back. Sometimes it's taken several weeks. Good luck. An image is currently in place for "A Gift of Hope Helping the Homeless", 9780345531360, and we currently have no image pending for the book. I did not see the image when it was uploaded and do not know when it was handled by an approver. If it does not display correctly or is the wrong image, try refreshing your cache with Ctrl-F5, or clearing your browser cache. If that doesn't work, try again in another day or two. If it takes longer than that there may be some problem or glitch and you can try uploading the image again.

The length of time it takes for a new image to display on the site is variable but is usually less than a week and depends upon a number of factors including how backlogged the pending image queue is at the time of the upload and shortly after the upload, the number of available approvers and how much time they have, how much research (if any) is needed to confirm that the image is correct, and the quality of the image.

Delays in seeing recently uploaded images can be caused by a number of things, such as when research must be done to confirm data such as a mismatch in the book title or author's name, when poor-quality images are uploaded that require finding replacements or alternates for, and when images are not acceptable as submitted because they are too small to see clearly or need editing work such as straightening, cropping, sharpening, or other fixes.

Acceptable images that are uploaded to replace blue boxes are usually visible between 1 to 3 days, and acceptable images uploaded to replace a poor or incorrect one are usually visible within 3 to 4 days. Prior to about 5 months ago, images replacing blue boxes took about the same amount of time to display as they do now, but images replacing poor or incorrect ones already in the system often took at least 1 to 2 weeks to display, and sometimes much longer. The delays were due mostly to how internet servers updated and refreshed their cache of images from the site, and happily this has greatly improved in the past several months.
