After the child remembers how two characters are associated to another character, or group of characters in each picture, the task of learning the math facts is almost complete. When they are taught the numbers represented by each of the characters they will automatically be able to state complete math facts. Four sets of flash cards for addition and four for subtraction are included in this guide book. Three or four different cards can be cut from 8½ x 11 inch 20 pound bond paper or they can be used uncut. Pictures are black and white and therefore can be colored to promote hands-on or kinesthetic learning. Each set of cards are designed and incorporated into easy to follow steps to promote mastery of basic math facts in a short period of time. A special release binding permits quick separation of flash cards pages from the book. This guide book is not a book on theory. After a brief introduction and short instructions the educator or parent guides the learner through each step using flash cards. When this process is followed according to instructions the learning of basic math facts can be mastered in less than half the time compared to traditional methods.« less
