Part of the Against The Clock Series, this book focuses on the use and mastery of Adobe's Premiere, the most popular and powerful non-linear video editing suite. With the advent of digital video cameras, high-speed hard drives, and ultra-fast processors, the reality of editing digital video, stills, and audio clips has become a reality. With dramatically improved audio features, built-in storyboarding editors, and highly-sophisticated editing tools, the program is challenging to learn. Adobe Premiere 6.0: Digital Video Editing adopts a sensible and well-thought-out approach to the task and provides the learner all the information they need to become an effective and skilled videographer. Debbie Rose Myers is an energetic instructor at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where she has taught for 20 years. She is a state-certified art instructor who has provided in-service training with Adobe Premiere, PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXPress for educators from around the United States. Debbie has developed and taught courses in multimedia, covering such areas as nonlinear editing and designing for multimedia and Web display. Debbie has also originated advanced design courses covering all aspects of the college's desktop publishing and computer graphics curriculum, including vector-based and raster-based drawing as well as scanning and image-processing. In recent years, Debbie has won inclusion in three national, juried museum shows. She also won Best in Show at her recent M.F.A. graduate art show. Her work can be viewed as part of the permanent collection at the Lowe Art Museum, in Coral Gables, Florida. Debbie's life, outside anything that relates to computers, includes embracing all things science fiction, shopping and most importantly, her husband Glenn.
