I am totally new to camping of any kind, so this book had some very useful information. I expected a lot more on tent camping, but most of the book was focused on RV camping, etc. There are some non-trivial suggestions about camping (i.e. how different people need different amounts of comfort and if minimum amount of comfort is not met for each individual, nobody will enjoy the experience, etc)
I had suspected the author was religious, and that the book might also reflect that, but it was more than that. A lot of God stuff, but not preachy. In the end, some good tent camping suggestions and ideas, skipped all the God stuff (I believe this is the "warmth" the descriptions of the book are referring to.) I would only recommend this book to those who are absolutely new to camping, those who are spiritual, and those who want to transition from tent camping to RV.
