Hi all. I'm fairly new to paranormal, currently making my way through the Sookie Stackhouse and Queen Betsy series. Now I'm wanting to sink my teeth (pardon the pun) into something a little grittier. After browsing the forums I've decided on the Dark Hunter and Anita Blake collections. My question is this. How do you find people who have multiple books in a particular series? That way you're not waiting for several different people to respond and then have books slowly trickle in from different places.

Any advice?

I collect both of those although I have bought the DH series new as they are keepers for me.  I found it didn't take too long for the Blake books to trickle in but there is always a short waiting list for them it seems and a lot of PBS's that read them keep them so I'm not sure how much luck you will have getting several from one person. I don't keep the Blake books (I'm on #5 or #6 I think) and just list them when I get done with them although I don't read them one after another.

Maybe post something about wanting them in the book bazaar if you haven't already. Good luck! You might have better luck if you want them all at once from a used book store. I noticed mine had several of the Blake books and the hunter books the other day. :)

i happened to noticed last night that one of the 2/1 offers i was looking at had several Anita Blake books.

you might check out this offer: http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=112173   i just peeked again, and it looks like she's got 3 of the Anita Blake's, plus one DH.

I bought a ton of Blake books on ebay -- I got almost the whole series for about $25

yes - i'd also recommend scoring a lot on ebay.  that's how I got a lot of my early dark-hunter books.  i mean you could always post in the book bazaar that you're looking - but  it will likely take a lot more effort to collect them and in the end expense too!

wow this one would be a perfect start for you: http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-OF-21-SHERRILYN-KENYON-LAURELL-K-HAMILTON_W0QQitemZ270226558354QQihZ017QQcategoryZ377QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm so excited. I received the first three Anita Blake's in the mailed today. After much searching, I was able to find a person one state over who had the first three and they were shipped really quickly. Can't wait to get started.
