Dover, 1997, and sold for one dollar (the students' friend!). Nicely done, with twenty words or so of introduction for each chosen author. Sample: Joshua M. Simpson urges massa's property to flee to Canada. 'Away to Canada' can be sung to the tune of 'O Susanah.' One chorus says, "O righteous Father, Wilt not Thou pity me? And aid me on to Canada, Where colored men are free."
Indexes of both titles and of first lines.
