copy a quote and have it come out in italic. I always put quotation marks around it so that people know I am quoting someone.

If I want to quote someone I:

1. highlight what they said

2. Click copy

3. Open reply or new screen

4. Click paste

Then it tells me that I have to use conrol + V. It never ends up in italics. What am I doing wrong?

Oh, I am using firefox, does that make a difference?

When you are typing a message, there is a formatting bar above the message box. B is for bold, I is for Italics, and U is for underline.

Do everything you're doing now and then after you paste it, highlight it again and click on the I in the formatting bar and it will then be italics or directly after you paste it, while it's still highlighted, click the I it will be italics.

LOL..I keep using tags (ex.: text here )and have to edit so I don't look like a dork-o-rama..lol.  I see the formatting choices, but I guess some habits are hard to break:)  Sooooo..even after all of this time of being a member (and mostly just reading the forums)..there ARE others that are still learning the tricks of the trade:)
