I have the first book in this series, but I picked up a Christmas book in this series from bookcloseouts, and would like to read it this season. Is this a series I could read out of order, or would it 'spoil' things? Thanks for your input! |

Well, you are never going to get me to advise you to read a series book out of order...that's the one thing I'm almost fanatical about. That said, I read about 13 of the Agatha Raisin books (before I finally threw one against the wall...figuratively, not literally! LOL) and really, they are pretty much same old, same old and you probably could do it without too much problem. Cheryl |

Although I'd prefer not to, I constantly read series books out of order. I find one (whichever one that might be) somewhere such as the UBS or thrift, read it and then decide if I want to read to the rest. If so, I go back and try to get them in order. Sometimes a person's first book isn't the best by far, and in reading it, I might not want to continue, whereas sometimes number 3 or 10 is great, and I want to read them all. That said, I haven't read Ms. Raisin, but in many series, the holiday books are less "series-y" than many of the others. If you want to read it now, rather than end up reading it in the summer or whenever...go for it! |

Cheryl's right - I read them out of order with no problems at all. |
