The further this series goes, the more I enjoy it.

Agatha Raisin has spent the last six months back in London and away from her beloved Cotswold village. No sooner is she home but there is a murder for her to solve. Ever eager to be of any help when there is a mysterious death involved, Agatha and her nosey pushy ways jump right on in.

Posing as husband and wife with her hottie neighbor James Lacey, Agatha sets out to find the murderer of Jessica Tartinck, a local hiker who has angered local landowners by insisting that her walking club has the right to cross through their fields.

Agatha gets to live out a secret wish that might not just be wishful thinking after all. These are quite endearing little books that keep the cozy genre quite cozy. Bundle up and enjoy.

This is the 4th book in the series. Agatha Rasin has just tried a six month stint in London in a PR firm, but it just isn't the thrill it used to be. Plus, she realizes she doesn't like the person she becomes in London. It's a relief to come back to the Cotswolds where she's hoping to resume her friendship with the handsome next-door bachelor, James Lacey. If only they could do some more 'investigating' together. As luck, or rather murder, would have it, a member of a local ramblers club, has been murdered, and wouldn't you know it - Agatha is asked privately to look into it. James agrees to help Agatha's investigation, and they end of having to play man and wife to get an insider's view of the ramblers club. The body count rises in this case, and Agatha and James may find more than just the killer. Could love be in the cards for this pair?

I have enjoyed everyone of M.C. Beaton books. Of all her books and main charaters my favorite is Agatha. It is a reading that keeps me interested. Beaton has a way to make her characters come alive. I believe that I will actually meet them some day. I am saddened because I only have one more to read to have completed the series. I feel like a good friend is moving away and I won't able to have fun with them anymore.

I love English mysteries and Agatha Raisin is adorable. She is middle aged, spunky, flirty, and always in the middle of some kind of trouble. She is wonderful!

A group of walkers in a Cotswold village are suspects in the killing of their leader, a woman who disagrees with the landowners who won't let them cross their property through ancient walking trails. The members are all suspects as well as landowners, but the twist at the end surprised me and was someone Agatha Raisin and James Lacey did not suspect. Quick read, short mystery, not as exciting as I had hoped.
