I have the following books left behind by 2 college age daughters. I need to know if they are OK for my 14 year old to read or if I should store them for a couple years. Any suggestions?

Crooked by Laura & Tom McNeal

Cut by Patricia McCormick ---  this was discussed during  her 3 years of JR High since it was happening alot at the school.

You Don't Know Me by David Klass

Sharing Sam by Katherine Applegate

Speak by Laurie Anderson

Candy by Kevin Brooks

I've read these three and I'd consider them to be appopriate for a 14-year-old.  That said, if you're really concerned about the content I'd read it yourself and be open to discussing them with your D.  Speak is one of my favorite books - I think I read it first when I was 13 or 14 and I've read it mutliple times since then.  It's an important book about a difficult subject.

I read You Don't Know Me in high school.  I stole it from my sister, who is three years younger (four years behind me in school), so she would have been younger than 14.
