I apologize for being a bit off topic (PBS, that is), but I know there are Postal employees on here and I was hoping that one of them could answer my question.

I have a nephew who is almost 17 who wants to get a Post Office box.  Can he rent one at 17 or does he have to wait until he's 18?  Also, if he has to wait until he's 18, if my brother rents the box can it be transferred to my nephew once my nephew turns 18?

Thanks,
Sue

As long as he can meet the ID requirements he can rent a box.
