Here's an article by goodreader.com announcing another ebook lending site, lendingebook.com

So what's the difference between this new one and all the others that are out there?!

Well, the two sites I used, (and I only use one of them now) only traded kindle books.

Ebook Fling was the only one I saw that could arrange lending in both. But they had a problem with customers using different addys than the ones they had on their accounts? I never saw if this problem with Amazon was resolved or not.

Looks like this one is going to offer an ebook store as well.

I can only guess they want in on add placement and author sales, and this is a way they think they can combine both and get customers.

I've only used ebookfling and booklending.com.  I hadn't heard of lendle though, I will have to check that one out.

I use bookfriend.me and I did use ebookfling until some problem with Barnes and Noble and e-mai addresses.  So at this point they don't do any swapping with Nooks any more.

The issue with ebookfling was they used an anonymous email address so that users didn't have to show their email address to the people flung to.  The B&N changed it's programming requiring a real email address.  Ebookfling & B&N are currently in talks to reconcile the issue.  Ebookfling holds that they should not have to give up a users email address to lend a book.

B&N announced that they would be working with ebookfling. Still hasn't happened though.

How can all the other sites not have a problem but ebookfling does?  I can't remember but do they use the users' actual email address?

I haven't used any of the sites because they don't have a book whenever I look for one that I want.  I loaned some books to get a couple of credits on each site to test them - ebookfling, bookfriend.me and another one that I can't remember the name of - but I can't get the nookbooks that I'm looking for!

For instance, I'm looking for the loan of Once and Again by Lauren Dane, but on all of the lending sites, even this new one, I can only put it on my WL/Want list.  So-o-o, anybody got this nookbook for loan cheeky

So far, all the ones I've used have to use the same address that you subscribed to Amazon with.

I don't think they want to loan the book to a third party, to be passed on. That sounds like a book keeping mess.
