We sometimes fly out of Tulsa (two hours' drive) and, when we lived in South Dakota, we sometimes flew out of Sioux Falls (1 1/4 hours' drive.)

In both places, the Sleep Inn allowed us to park our car in their parking lot for free, get a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport, and pick up our car on the way home.  We recently traveled out of town for a family funeral.  Our hotel bill was about $70, but we saved $45 on airport parking...

Considering that our plane departed quite early in the morning, it made out whole trip much easier with very little additional expense.

It's possible that other hotel chains may offer this service, too.

My aunt and uncle, who live in Oregon, often fly out of Seattle and do the same thing.  I doubt there are such good deals around here (New York City area).  On the other hand, we can take a train straight from our town to Newark airport so no need for parking.

at Tampa there are some cheap hotels on Dale Mabry Blvd (less than 10 mins from airport) that provide shuttle service to the airport with very cheap daily parking rates in their lot.

When we flew out of Minneapolis to Salt Lake City we spent the night at one of the hotels near the air port...forgot which one. We left the car parked there and took the shuttle bus to the air port and they picked up up when we got back and brought up back to the hotel and the car. Door to door service!

We did this once, our flight was delayed.  The hotel had quit running shuttles by that time.  Cost us a taxi ride to the hotel to get to our car.  It ended up being much more costly than parking at the airport.

if you google those three there is a website that has major airports with the nearby hotel, we spent a week inTX, but because I did this for boston logan we stayed overnight for less than airport parking for my weeks trip with free shuttle both ways & breakfast, even if it hadn't saved my cash, made my trip easier with a baby,2 hour drive & 7 hour flight.
