Some of the stories in this little gem of a book make me want to pack my bags and be on the next flight out to Fairbanks within the hour. Course, for years, Ive always wished I lived in Alaska. I could never afford it, so I read stories like this. To take me closer to the sounds, the scenes, the smells, the experiences, the winters, the mushers, the midnight sun, the extraordinary wonders of the beautiful state of Alaska.

This book had stories ranging from topics about the people who live there in Alaska, growing up, watching tourists float by in tour buses to moving away from Alaska and missing its beauty and striving to go back and so much more.
I had my favorites in this book and I do recommend this to anyone who loves or wants to know more about the real Alaska.
