This is better than most of the old Harlequins. Our heroine is young but not stupid. When the domestic staff tries to push her around, she's worried about her husband's reaction, but that doesn't stop her from pushing back. And our hero is not an abusive jerk. He's got his issues, but the reader can understand and sympathise with him.
