I have over 225 books to choose from on my shelf and many are great for home school. My children are all young adults now and I am through with these special books. They served me well and now I want them to be a blessing to someone else. My shelf also has a lot of older books that are real treasures and many are hard to find, out of print books.  I hope you find something you can use. Thank you for looking. Peggy

I have just joined book swap so how do I get to your abeka books without having to scrolll through every book listed,.

And how do I get more credits when I have just joined. I have already listed 12 books and received 2 credits. How do I get more credits so I can request books more books to use for homeschool next year? mamatb

Theresa, you can search anyone's bookshelf by clicking on the "bookshelf" button by their name.  Or by clicking the blue link with their name, and then going to their shelf.  You can then do a search "by genre" at the top right, or by a name, such as Abeka/A beka (it's both ways in the system)

Some people have tagged their HS materials with the publisher, grade level, and course.  Abeka is hard to search for because they do not put ISBN's on their books.  So every book posted in the system has a number assigned to it, even if there's a duplicate posted....unless someone clicks the "post this book" link on a book's page that's already posted.

You have to send books out to receive credits.  Or while you're waiting, you can purchase credits for $3.45 each at the PBS "kiosk" tab which is the last one under the blue subheader at the top of the page.

You can also post CD's and DVD's at the sister sites and transfer credits between the different sites.  For instance, I post a lot of books and get credits that way, but I "spend" them at SwapaCD or SwapaDVD, since I don't have many of those to send out.

You can put books on our wish list and reminder list as you're waiting to stock up on some credits.

Welcome to the site!
