1917 France. Alphonse Courrier born in 1867 has everything he could desire in his life: a thriving business, a beautiful wife, a lover and two sons and they live in a small town full of gossips. The author has identifed the dynamic undercurrents beneath the surface of daily life and exposes them to the reader who enjoys filling in the gaps the author has left unstated. A different kind of story in which you need to use your imagination.
