Your account and Book Credits are not transferable.

Just curious if they intend to curtail the selling of credits by members (or if it's always ben there, but have made allowances).

it's always been there. you could gift your credits to someone with an account before you left or sell them (under the 50 / month) but you were never allowed to transfer the account and credits over to someone else. nothing has changed there.
