I immediately sold our 2013 Kindle Fire HD 16gb and bought the Fire HD 6" 16gb. In blue.

Not buying the Voyage. If it was $150 I probably would have. But my buying urge has been satisfied with the Fire 6.

Ok, got tired of waiting so cancelled my blue order and got the Fire 6 Black 16gb yesterday. And I love it! It's a great tablet for reading books. I am still going through and setting it up the way I want, but so far, so good. The Amazon app works great. The Scribd app (sideloaded) looks great (not the current app, I loaded the previous version). Moon+ looks great. Goodreads integration is fantastic. I haven't tried text to speech yet.

It's small for doing much on the web, but I didn't get this to replace my Nexus 7, so I'll use that for web, Flipboard, anything that requires a bigger screen. I got the Fire 6 because I wanted a smaller screen for reading books, and it was simply fantastic for that. A screen protector cuts the glare. I used it outside yesterday with no problem.

I'll report back when I have more to share!

The Fire HD 6" is an amazing tablet for reading. Even reading books in the Kindle App is good! This tablet has hit my sweet spot for reading. I may have to get rid of some of my eink readers, now.

I've read in the Kindle App, the Scribd App, and MoonReader+ App. All three look good! (Had to side load two of them). I am really thrilled. Just wish it had longer battery life!
