Very well written and scholarly account of the history of immigration to the united states. covering the the entire history of immigration till 1991, this work is essential for anyone who seeks a general understanding of immigrants to the united states. while not as acclaimed as Bodner or Handlin's famous works, this general introduction is nonetheless quintessential for students of united states history in general and immigration history in particular.
