Amy King is an American poet, born in Baltimore, MD and grew up Stone Mountain, GA. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, teaches Creative Writing and English at Queensborough Community College, co-edits the literary arts journals, Esque and Poets for Living Waters, edits the POETICS list, and succeeded Annie Finch as the Women's Poetry Listserv moderator in 2008. King also works with VIDA: Women in Literary Arts on " The Count" and " For the Record." She has earned degrees in Poetry (M.F.A., Brooklyn College), Poetics (M.A., SUNY Buffalo) and English and Women's Studies (B.S. , Towson University).
