This was the first book I read by Nora Roberts. I had the impression that she wrote sappy romance novels, but I was mistaken. In this book she expertly combined mystery, suspense, murder, and romance into a capivating story that was beautifully written. I have never been to Wyoming, but her descriptions painted such a vivid picture for my imagination that I am interesting in visiting Wyoming now.

Once again, Nora Roberts superbly writes a murder mystery that keeps you turning the pages. The heroine is very likeable because she is imperfect like most of us. It was gratifying to see her successfully reach each milestone during her recovery process from a horrifically tragic event. The best part was she didn't have to do it alone. She makes some wonderful friends in Angels Fist, Wyoming, and I guarantee you will fall in love with each one of these characters. This includes the reluctant hero, Brody, who did not sign up for the job and never wanted any part of the action. But he's a keeper! The dialogue throughout the book is wonderful because it makes you feel as if you are right there watching the story unfold. That is the gift of a good writer and Nora Roberts has hit the mark again!

Great plot, loved the fact the main character is a chef, has a lot of foodie type information that I enjoyed.
