A fun, light hearted detective story set in a world where dinosaurs live among us, disguised as humans. Silly, but the prose lets it work, and I enjoyed it.

very different book. but very enjoyable.

Very funny and quirky. The jacket calls it a "cult classic." Think of Dashiel Hammett as a dinosaur! The author imagines a society that includes dinosaurs which are not extinct. They actually became part of the human population by developing various guises. Of course humans don't know a person is actually a dino, but fello dinos know because of the smell. Really different and fun.

I liked the book and I'm going to read the series. It took me a little while to 'get it'. But once I did, it was really enjoyable.

For a long time I thought I had to read only 4 or 5 star books. This book is a perfect example of an enjoyable time without having had to be the top of a hit list. I'm glad I selected it.

Interesting world where dinosaurs (who never really became extict, but have evolved to human size)live among humans, wearing latex disguises. One of the dinos is a private detective who investigates the accident/murder of his partner and encounters strange creatures (stranger than human size dinos?), love, genetic experiments, and finds a new partner in the end.

Lots of fun.

The dinosaurs are among us! The main character is a velociraptor.
