This is not quite western- it's frontier America- but Ride The Fire (Leisure Historical Romance) by Pamela Clare was very good.

Jodi Thomas has some great historical western romances. Most of them have Texas somewhere in the title. I've enjoyed all of hers that i have read so far!

It's ok Kim. You can jump to the Harlequin side every now and then. We won't tell. LOL. Does It at least have more than 200 pages?

I'm really liking the McKettrick family series by Linda Lael Miller, though I've only read 3 thus far.   I also have read several by Jodi Thomas and second that recommendation.   I've never read Tamera Alexander though, but I am going to see if my library has anything by her. If not, that's more on my 500+ RL here!

Mustang Wild isn't one of the skinny harlequins! probably close to superromance size maybe? I liked it but I like a lot of stuff so I'm no help!

another night shift t onight...I read a little more in I Only Have Fangs For You by Kathy Love but don't know if that'll be my night shift read or not..I still have a stack of library books to get through including Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier and The Masque of the Black Tulip by Laura Willig..just don't know yet what I'm in the mood for...think I'll go back to bed and see if I can get in another nap...
