I have just started to add books to my TBR list. What kind of "note" are you supposed to add with the little yellow triangle located on the right side of the list ? Last Edited on: 7/12/08 4:02 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Hi Michael-- Those notes are only for you (nobody but you will ever see them), so you could put whatever you want there. Useful things I could think of include "I lent this to XYZ", "I left this at the beach house", "this has unpostable damage", etc. Whatever is useful to you, personally. When your TBR Mountain starts to approach the size of Space Mountain (if it hasn't already), it may make more sense. :-) Cheers, Catt Last Edited on: 7/12/08 4:22 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Thanks Elizabeth. I don't know that I will need to use it, but it's helpful to know what it's for - just in case. |

I never use them for my TBR, but find them invaluable for my BIR. Sometimes just a note to jog my memory about the book later on about. But mostly I note whether I kept it or re-posted it or donated it to the library. Or if it was a library book in the first place. I also put a note in there if I lend a book out. |

I've used mine to keep a reminder of the unpostables that I get and why they are unpostable. They weren't freebies, so even though I'm going to read them - I don't want to forget and post them. Ruth
ETA: I also use them to put a reading "order" for a series. Like S,M, Stirling has a bunch of books and there are so many it's hard to rmember which ones are in which series and need to be read first. Last Edited on: 7/14/08 12:35 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I use the "sticky note" for things like, this was a gift for mom (so I don't wonder where the book is) unpostable - water damage (so I don't post a damaged book) this book belongs to Sam (so I don't post someone else's book) keeper (won't repost) don't own (for BIR that I don't have) |
