I have the tag feature turned off in my settings. While I can understand why other members want to use them for various reasons, I just find them annoying myself. I really don't need to see the author's last name repeated in one or know that someone's copy is in their car or stashed behind their recliner or given to Uncle Elmer. And I don't need to have to weed thru ones with letters and numbers depicting mysterious codes or whether a particular copy has water damage or dead bugs on page 22..etc. Since the site was updated a few days ago, I am now seeing tags---not all of them (thank goodness) but some. How can they be visible when I have the feature turned off? |

Can you recheck that you still have them set to off? It may be a glitch. Uncheck it and hit save settings. Then recheck it and save again. See if that works. |

I also have my tags turned off. The tags don't show up (except for my own) on my TBR, wishlist, bookshelf, etc. main listing. And in the main book description when you click on a book, I don't see any tags. But down below at the bottom of the description page, there is a section called "popular tags for this book." Those do show up, but they're at the very bottom, so it's in a place where I don't need to look at all to get info about the book. Is that what you're talking about, or are other people's tags showing up on your lists? Cheryl |

I already did do what you said to do, Tracy and it is still showing several. And Cheryl., Not all but some ( up to seven or eight on some books) are still showing in the main book description section. I was just curious why I could still see them when the setting for them is off. It was not like that before the site was upgraded a few days ago. |

I never used to see the tags when I searched for "books posted today" until the upgrade. I found that I could turn them off, as mentioned, under settings, and things were much better. However, whenever I close my browser, and come back, as the OP stated, even though setting is turned to "off", I still see the tags. I have to change it to "on", and then "off" again to get the tags to go away. |

I've noticed that, on occasion, when I sign on I'll see tags even though i have them turned off. I do what Steven does. I go to the settings, toggle the On/Off to on and back to off again, and update my settings. That's always turned them Off again. I have no idea why, even while turned off, they appear again, but it only happens every now and again, and reasserting my desired setting always does the trick. It seems to be consistently happening though, and I've come to the site on my home computer, verified the setting is "off", and I still see tags, so it's not a fluke on my work computer.... |

This bug is fixed. I got the following message from the Team:
Dear Robin, This should work now. Have a great day! The PaperBackSwap Team -------------------------------------------------- There seems to be a problem/glitch/bug with turning the Tags on and off (viewable and not viewable.) I've seen it reported in the Tour Guide lounge and some Live Help questions about it have also come in. Here is a discussion thread documenting the problem: Linkforum/topic.php?t=129614
