I searched the archives but didn't find the answer so I apologize if this has been asked numerous times.

I had a book on my WL, it was accepted and canceled, no email notice. I just now noticed the cancellation and checked to see if it went back to my WL...it didn't. So I added it back and now I am further down the list than when I initially requested. Is this the new WL system or regardless if it's the old or new, isn't the book supposed to go back to WL?

The new WL system is not yet active.

If the book was offered to you and you didn't accept the offer, then the book comes off your wish list. If you still want it, then you have to start over at the end of the line. If this is what happened, you'll see the emails in your Club Communications page informing you of the notification and the cancellation.

If the book was offered to you, you accepted, and the sender canceled, then the book should go back onto your wish list. In this case, there will be a transaction in your Transaction Archive showing the cancellation. If you see such a transaction and your book didn't go back onto your wish list, then you can send a feedback using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page and ask for help.

Thanks Cathy. This was on auto request therefore, I didn't have an offer. There wasn't a cancel notification and it didn't go back to my WL. In fact, I probably would have missed it if not checking for another transaction.

Hmm, it should have gone back on your WL if the request timed out or the sender canceled.  If it didn't, use the "contact us" link at the bottom of this page to send an email to R&R.  Give them the details and have them look into it.  You should have been returned to the WL in your former position.

Did you have a credit to cover the transaction?  That could be why.  If you did then I would do a suggested and let PBS know so they can put you back on the top spot. Also are you sure you were #1  when the book was offered?  It could be that someone posted it directly to your WL and then had to cancel for some reason.  I have people on my Buddy List that I post WL books directly to their WL all the time. I do this because I know they come on a lot and I won't have to wait for the book to go through 2 or 3 people in WL limbo.  Like one I have right now.  I usually PM first though to make sure they have credits.

If the sender canceled, then it definitely should have gone back onto your wish list. You should also have gotten an email saying that it couldn't be sent. If you didn't see it in your inbox, check your Club Communications page for it. But in any case, it's probably worth sending a feedback asking about what happened.

Maybe it is already being requested from someone else?  You just can't see it yet?

Mary---Yes, I have more than enough credits to cover all of my WL books. Yes, I am positive I was number one and the transaction was canceled per the sender.

I did find the cancellation notice via PBS, not sure if I just missed it in my incoming box or something else weird happened. However even though it was canceled, I thought it should have been placed back on my WL. I have had this happen in the past with no problem and was reinstated to number one position...that is why I wondered if the new WL was in effect.

Thanks all for your help and suggestions...going to contact R&R.

One thought - check your Reminder List for the book.  This happened to me recently because I had a no smoking condition that the sender could not meet.   So, he cancelled the order and since there were no other copies available, the book was immediately placed on my RL so it would not get stuck in a Wish List loop with the same sender.  I believe that once another copy of the book is listed on the PBS system, the RL item should automaticaly be moved back to your WL so you will get first dibs on the book.
