I have been a dispatcher for 12 years, and I loved this book! It is so true...one second you're reading a book, and the next second you are trying to get rescue to a person having a heart attack or firemen to a house burning down. Our department has only one dispatcher for deputies, rescue and fire, and it can get really hairy sometimes, but I wouldn't trade this job for anything except retirement! :D
Ms. Burau captured the life of dispatching just as it is, warts and all.

Quick, fun read. Operator is based in Ramsey County, Minnesota so lots of local references for Minnesotans.

I'm a dispatcher and I thought this book was so true. I think every new dispatcher, and family member of a dispatcher, and anyone thinking of becoming a dispatcher should read this book.

This was a very interesting book about how the author got into becoming a 911 operator and lots of 911 stories. A very quick read.
