Just airing my thoughts. Is there anything worse than finding that one thing you did not know was out there. "The" perfect book or for me the perfect narrator of the perfect book and then to be left "waiting for member"--- I have only been waiting since Friday but the hours are dragging by. Teaching me patience, I suppose..............waiting,,,,,,,,,,,,

I have been there!

The book you never knew existed, that it seems like you have been waiting to find your entire life, and there is only one copy in the system and suddenly you feel like you can't live without that book...and you are "waiting for member". I often wish there was an option for the sender to acknowledge that they know the request is there but they have to wait until the last day to accept for whatever reason...just so the requester is not left on pins and needles about whether the request is going to be accepted. I feel your angst and you are not alone!

Well for it to make sense. It is a well loved book that I have read more than once. Read by the actress that played the part in the best rendition I ever saw on film... Can you guess what book? Film?, Character? It never occurred to me that it would be available as a audio book, until a member here inspired me to look.

Been there done that.  This site certainly teaches patience.

If there's one thing that PBS teaches us, it's patience.

Sometimes a member doesn't respond because they are not active on the site. A lot of people sign up for PBS and abandon their accounts so it's actually serves a purpose when their books are requested because once they don't respond to requests, the account is flagged by the system and deactivated by the Team.
