I don't want to bombard them if someone has already sent in feedback. I would guess they are tweaking some programming and that is what is causing it, but you never know!

Yuppers, I'm having the same issue Christa. Usually only happens when cutting and pasting if the system doesn't recognize something, but now it's picking up on other stuff (not even imported) . . . such as extra spaces after the period.

Hope it's a tweeking thing, or this could get annoying.

Christa, I'm not aware of any having written to Feedback about it, so I nominate you, since you brought it up.

Just don't 2x space after a period.Easier said than done if you were trained to 2x after period.

I'm sure it's a tweak (I remember it happening a while back, but not as prevalently). Errant punctuation is kind of annoying though...and I'm sure it's more so for avid readers and proofreaders such as are found here. I'm glad you reported it Christa.

This happened awhile back at SwapaCD. Every time there were two spaces typed in a row, an accented accented character would appear (capital A with a circle above it).

It took awhile, but they did eventually fix it.  During that time, people conditioned themselves not to type 2 spaces in a row; this decreased the occurrence quite a bit.

edited because the accented character I typed came out as "??"  lol

Well, I also can't get the system to let me rate a book and move it to my BIR list!

I was wondering what was going on with all the "?'s."  Thanks for bringing this up, I thought my computer was acting up!

I just edited to add that hitting the spacer key once gives one ?, then two taps to spacer gave me 2 ?.

They are really becoming annoying. Now to see how many ?'s my post brings up.

I'm sure they have gotten several comments about it.  I understand they may not be able to respond to each one, but it would be nice if they would at least acknowledge one and let us know what's going on so we could spread the word.

Course for those who are of a different mind bend, I have been clicking on the "Source" button and replacing the string "&-n-b-s-p;" (without the dashes) anytime it appears with a space. Look a double space.

And a triple carriage return for those who want it as well.

It looks like the question mark thing is fixed!  yay!!
