Over the last week or so I have been offered eight wish listed books, four of them today alone.  Four of these were from "friends" but the other four were fifo.  I'm not complaining, just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything like this???

As people sometimes get books for Christmas and they're probably finishing up on them about now, it would make sense that there might be a lot of books offered at this time. It's always fun. Pat

I guess I'd better start reading fast so that I can post them.

There are some games going on right now that may be fueling this.  There is a Pay it Forward game where everyone sends another player a book AND posts one to FIFO, the Bingo Game has us all reading lots of books too.  Also...it may be a case of January, out with the old and in with the new, decluttering projects.

Nope, I haven't seen a WL book in MONTHS and my WL is 500 books that I'm #1 on over half of them. Sigh.....

Another possible for increased WL offers in January:  Some members refuse to go to the post office in December due to the holiday craziness.

Since Friday I have had three WL books offered to me. And I just mailed 5 WL books to others this morning.

Yes, I have seen a definite increase in wishlist books I have been offered...probably 8 in January, and usually it is only one or two a month...

Also I have had a HUGE increase in people requesting books from my book shelf this month, this week was the largest, like 13 in one week... and those weren't WL books... just books on my bookshelf.

I've had a small flurry since the new year, but the last two were from people who I assume are newbies:  they only have two books each on their bookshelves, both of them waited until minutes before the response deadline to accept my auto-request, and both waited until the mailing dealine was almost upon them before printing the label and then marking them mailed.  INeither one used DC or PBS postage and I'm still waiting (now almost ten days since they marked the books mailed) to get the books.  I'm not holding my breath waiting for either one to arrive.

I was just telling my husband about all the WL gifts we were offered recently. I got offered some very nice books that arrived.

I guess you are right. Time to reciprocate and start posting to the FIFO backlog...

When I have my account open I get about 2 a week.   That may be because I keep moving up the line when my account is closed for awhile.

I've seen more than usual too.  Three on their way now.

And I'm with Ann -- I must have mailed out 35 books this month.  One was a box of 17 and another a box of 5, but that's an awful lot of orders off my shelf.
