Reading posts about greenhouses and large gardens has me wondering, anyone else on here have just a small plot? My garden, which is the entire area of our yard that is not shaded 90 percent of the day, is about 6' by 3'. You can actually plant quite a bit in that space if you plan it carefully.  I keep my herbs in pots on the porch and do have some beds out front where I can plant things that will grow in the shade.  How big is your garden?

I grow my cucumbers and small squash and even tried tomatoes on trellises. Also I make cages for the tomatoes out of large fence wire.

It seems like no matter how big we make ours it's never big enough. I keep wanting to add more stuff every year and run out of room. We added on to ours last fall so now it's about 50 ft x 16 ft. We made a strawberry bed last fall too that I'm going to plant, and we're going to make a couple raspberry beds too this spring. It keeps me out of trouble.

Note to Louieg:  You may want to rethink the raspberry bed.  Raspberries take over quite easily.  Blueberries would be a bit better.

I have three raised beds, two are 2' by 4' and the other is 4' by 4'.  Hubby made these really tall raised beds for me as I suffer from back trouble.  So now I do not have to bend down or crouch down.
