I am going to Greece over Christmas and love to read books about a place before I go.  I have read a fair amount of ancient greek history, so I would love to read something more contemporary.  Thanks a lot,

Zach

How about mystery novels that take place in present day Greece?

DEADLINE IN ATHENS and THE LATE-NIGHT NEWS, both written by Petros Markaris.

I read this years ago and really liked it.
