I have two books that have been requested from me from 2 different members.  I marked that I can mail them with in 2 days and went to buy postage and print the mailing labels using my  PBS account money (currently $27 in my PBS account for postage).  I chose the one page option as I affix it to other wrapping and to buy postage and DC from PBS like I always do.  I am getting this error message: "We are sorry but electronic postage is currently not available for this address."    One address is in NJ and the other in MD.  I have plenty of money in my account for the postage and DC.  I have tried every option to get the postage purchased and label printed an I'm getting the same error message for all of the options.  I want to  mail these books tomorrow so I can get instant credit as I have I one day left to respond to a wish listed book I want and I'm out of credits so I need the credits from these two books.  Anyone else having this problem?  I have emailed the PBS team but it takes 24 to 48 hours to get a response which will put me past the deadline for the wish listed book I want to accept.  I'm tapped out for buying credits this month so that is not an option right now.

That's the message that shows up when Endicia isn't working right. Keep trying and it will eventually go through.

I'll shoot you a credit to get your WL book so you don't have to worry about getting the credit in time.

Thanks for letting me know this is a common problem (this is the first time it's happened to me). I will keep trying until it goes through and will shoot back your credit as soon as it does go through.

I'd guess Endicia is just doing some maintenance in the wee hours of the night so PBS can't communicate with them right now. I haven't had the problem myself, but have seen the issue posted on the forums enough to recognize it.

I'm glad someone else posted a thread about this! I was just about to when I saw yours. Thank you for receiving an explanation for us both =)

I am getting impatient. Haha.. but I feel better that it isn't just me!

it's happened to me several times. just keep trying over and over and over and over and over...well you get the idea..again and again..frustrating as h-e- double hockey sticks!

And it finally works... Yay!

Just for future reference: Always choose the extended mail by date. I choose the longest mail by date even when I know I'm going to mail it that day.  You just never know when stuff is going to happen: printed postage won't work, printer out of ink, car won't start, bad weather, kid gets sick etc...,  Take the full 5days and then don't use them if you don't need them.

I had this same thing happen to me and finally had to completely log out of PBS.  I get on to the site from my favorite list and am always logged in.  I could not print postage for days and was really frustrated.  Someone recommended logging out of PBS and logging back in.  Worked like a charm.
