The other day I posted a book, took my account off Vacation Hold long enough for it to be offered and then put it back on Hold...when I looked the book had been offered twice...though to the same person. I sent in feedback using the "Contact Us" link.... Now, today I followed the same procedure with a book but, this time it offered it twice to two different people...this doesn't seem fair, who is REALLY first in line...sent in feedback again... The first time I sent it in they told me to just accept whomever accepted first and decline the second one...that just doesn't seem fair and it puts a Red check on my Transaction Archive. Anyone else having problems like this? |

I'm not having this problem. I just wanted to say a red x in your transaction archive is not a mark against you - it just means a transaction did not go through. I have several of those from where someone's offer timed out and it went to the next person. |

it is a mark against you when as the sender I post a book and then cancel it when it has been accepted by the requestor. |

Christy I wouldn't worry about it. PBS knows why you had to cancel the transaction. They'll be able to see that the same book got posted twice at the same time. Also people have to cancel sometimes. They aren't going to suspend or close your account because of it. I've had to cancel 2 WL books because I accidentally damaged them after posting and then accepting a request for them. The red marks you have to worry about are having a lot of lost books and/or books you've sent being marked RWP. |

I have had this happen a few times, one both ends. It is messy and sucks, but there is nothing to be done about it. My last one only ever showed as a cancelled transaction in my archive, never had one show up as completed. One way to try to get it to the real first person and make sure the transaction isn't messed up is to cancel both transactions and then repost it. Leave your shelf off hold long enough for the person to accept it, then put the hold back on. |
