has anyone else seen a lot of requests come there way now that february 15th is coming up and members are being asked to renew/pay again for their membership? i have had 12 requests so far this week. and i had almost 40 books go out last month. is this like when they first told us last year that we would have to start paying to use the site? are members using up their credits and jumping ship? just wondering. |

I no longer have a bookshelf for requests, but I have noticed a surge in the number of books shipped per week since the second week of Jan. I assumed it was people who had not gotten WL books during the year of their paid membership using up the credits to go ALC to avoid the $.50/transaction fee. I should imagine there will be some turnover each year for that reason just as accounts go inactive in days past when folks lose interest. |

nothing unusual here. about the same as always. Personally I only request something I really want to read. |

I hadn't sent anything out since November and have 5 going out this month. I think it's more related to the fact that I'm reading/posting more. |

January is always a busier month. More books being posted after the holidays, people getting done with the busy holiday season and settling in for the winter with some good books. There is probably some uptick in traffic due to membership renewals coming up, but January is always a busy month for swapping. |

I've been sending lots of books but it is because I've been posting lots of WL books and those books are almost exclusively what are being requested from me. |

Haven't noticed any more requests from me. However I've had many requests be cancelled by senders or not mailed & wondered if it's because they're not sticking around. |
